13th Anti-corription Summit

13th Anti-Corruption Compliance in China Summit 2019

Tackling the challenge of anti-corruption and bribery in China at every level

November 13-15, 2019 Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town

Anatoly Yakorev has been invited to be Chairman of this summit by its organizer Jimmy Wang to cover global and Russia’s AC challenges in this capacity at the summit. The summit brought together industry leaders and government officials to raise and discuss issues related to the #anti-corruption environment and challenges for #compliance in China. Best practices and practical insights into AC and compliance training and third party due-diligence were brought up and discussed.

A lot of companies participate in this summit each year with many of them being giants from various industries. A. Yakorev offered a perspective from Russia in the context of how Russia addresses anti-corruption compliance while building a digital economy and how compliance is evolving in a country being under sanctions. It was his first time in China and at such an event, so it was an honour to be referred to by other speakers after his presentation and to be ranked by the participants as a ‘good speaker.’

This event was covered by the Chinese media, which offered a more extensive coverage than in other countries due to the nature of issues discussed.

This time the summit brought together speakers not only from a five year plus mature compliance pool, but also included policymakers and representatives from the State Administration for Market Supervision, TRACE International, China University of Political Science and Law and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) among many other distinguished organisations.
